We will delve into the advantages of maintaining a spotless office environment and the positive impact that professional cleaning can have on your business.
As visitors walk into your office or workplace, the first thing they are likely to notice is the appearance and cleanliness of the space. First impressions are everything; a well-maintained workplace demonstrates professionalism and attention to detail.
But it goes beyond just appearance. A clean and hygienic office environment has a direct influence on your staff's well-being and productivity. Regular professional cleaning reduces the build-up of dust, allergens, and harmful germs in the workplace, resulting in a healthier environment for your employees. This, in turn, can lead to fewer sick days, increased employee satisfaction, and ultimately, a more efficient and effective workforce.
A study by the Staples Corporation found that 94% of workers felt more productive in a clean workspace and 77% said they produced a higher quality of work in a cleaner working environment.
As a business owner or manager, investing in professional office/commercial cleaning can provide numerous benefits that directly impact the well-being and productivity of your workforce.
About five years ago I inadvertently started up Flawless Cleaning. With a background in sales and marketing, and having worked in publishing for years, it wasn’t my original life plan but evolved organically. Having had experience at CenterParcs and realising I enjoyed cleaning it all sprung from there. Within six months clients were snowballing in and I took a minute to wonder why. There were lots of cleaning companies out there, what on earth made us different?
I used to feel awkward at meetings asking what the issue was if they already had cleaners. If you meet with me about your cleaning today, it will be one of the first questions I ask. The most common answers are without doubt, the staff not being there or not being there for the time they should and the standards falling the longer they kept the contract. This was something I had dealt with for years with our cleaner at home, so I should have realised it was a general issue in the sector.
Here at Flawless Cleaning, we do things a bit differently. We spent a long time looking for processes that would help us with management of staff. Every one of them clocks in and out and we can see where they are when they do this. We immediately receive an alert if a staff member isn’t where they should be, either due to place or time. We have an amazing team, but there must be accountability in any workplace. Weekly spot checks are done on staff times and locations are also done to make sure there are no inconsistencies. We can guarantee our staff will be where they should be when they should be.
Ahhhh, but what about absence I hear you cry! I learnt very quickly that absence management is key. When I started up Return to Work and absence policies were not even a thing. Five years on and with a robust HR system in place, our RTW and absence trigger points keep us up to date with any issues. No clean ever goes uncovered; I used to tell clients that if it got so desperate, I would cover, but I am happy to say we have now built a senior and cover team that can deal with that without fail.
As for standards, you can see from our values that we believe quality is something you receive as a given, and your premises should always get, not something staff should work towards. We have a comprehensive training system; no staff member is just sent out with no guidance or training. After induction, at least 2 weeks is spent with team trainers and the team leader from each premises will be in contact with new staff until they are confident in their work. We have regular video updates for staff (as getting together a team that works between 6am-11pm isn’t easy!) and health and safety, safeguarding and manual handling annual updates. Senior staff attend training, conferences and events and we are always looking for innovative technology and processes we can implement to make our service even better.
If you are looking for an outstanding commercial cleaning service to make a difference in your premises, then do get in touch today. We love chatting and we would be more than happy to pop and see you and your premises for a no obligation quote.
